Clionadh Cosmetics Woodlands Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 2)

Honeycomb

Clionadh Honeycomb Shimmer Metallic Eyeshadow ($6.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium gold with strong, warm orange undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The consistency was soft, more loosely-pressed, but still creamy enough that I felt like all of the larger sparkles were incorporated with the rest of the product, which minimized the chance of fallout.

It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly to my lid and blended out nicely along the edges. This shade stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of wear.

There do not appear to be any specific claims made for the brand’s regular eyeshadow range, so being held to typical industry claims (as well as looking at the brand swatches), I’d expect rich pigmentation along with being blendable. The brand has an assortment of finishes, and the price point varies from finish to finish and has some variance within finish as well, but they tend to range from $6.00 CAD to $8.00 CAD, which converts to around $5.00 to $7.00 USD.

The more shimmery formulas were similar; they tended to be dense, lightly creamy, and blendable with excellent pigmentation and minimal chance of fallout. Some of the more sparkly shades felt more loosely-pressed while a few metallics were more emollient to the touch. They typically wore between eight and eight and a half hours on me before fading visibly (without primer).

Beehive

Clionadh Beehive Metallic Eyeshadow ($4.80 for 0.05 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark yellow with strong, warm undertones and a smooth, lightly metallic finish. It had rich pigmentation in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out with ease. The consistency felt lightly creamy, dense but not too firmly-pressed into the pan, and picked up well with a brush. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Wildfire

Clionadh Wildfire Metallic Eyeshadow ($5.25 for 0.05 oz.) is a bright, light orange with moderate, warm undertones and warmer, yellowy-gold sparkle and shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that wasn’t too dense nor too firmly-pressed into the pan.

The product picked up well with a dry brush and had great adhesion to bare skin so fallout wasn’t a concern. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Pixie Ring

Clionadh Pixie Ring Shimmer Metallic Eyeshadow ($6.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a bright, light pink with strong, warm undertones and an intense, metallic finish. It looked much lighter applied, as it was quite reflective, compared to how it appeared in the pan. The consistency felt smooth to the touch, almost cream-like as it was dense, but it wasn’t so thick or so firmly-pressed into the pan that it became difficult to pick up with a dry brush. The opaque coverage stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Mist

Clionadh Mist Duochrome Eyeshadow ($4.80 for 0.05 oz.) is a pale, almost washed out cornflower blue that shifted to warmer, rosier lavender paired with fine gold and pink pearl. The eyeshadow had excellent color payoff that adhered well to bare skin and blended out easily.

The texture was lightly creamy, smooth, and dense without being thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Hunter

Clionadh Hunter Metallic Eyeshadow ($4.80 for 0.05 oz.) is a light, muted purple with neutral-to-warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. It applied a lot lighter–due to how packed it was with shimmer–compared to how it appeared in the pan.

It had rich pigmentation that adhered well to bare skin, but the texture was slightly creamier and more emollient so it worked better with a slightly fluffier brush to pick up product more readily (or a fingertip). The color showed signs of fading after eight and a half hours of wear.

Forest Heart

Clionadh Forest Heart Metallic Eyeshadow ($4.80 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark, emerald green with cooler undertones and a fine dusting of golden micro-sparkle over a metallic sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied well to bare skin with a smooth, even lay down of color that was blendable along the edges without losing its intensity.

The consistency was soft, smooth, and dense without being thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.
